This idea is to make a system that can either use common headsets or professional headsets.

The system would be PoE and the hub would be purely software to avoid the cost of another device. There would be two different levels of belt packs. The standard belt pack would have regular 3.5mm jacks, one of which would have an adaptable interface for earbuds with a built-in microphone. The professional belt pack would have connectors that would either be selected when ordered (preferred) or have some kind of adapter.

Still thinking on what technology would be used. For streaming, would need to use some kind of RTP to stream the talking without delay. Possibly something like OPUS. Packs would be able to be updated from the base software.

For the Codec chip, it would be best if it had a DSP so that I could increase intelligibility.
